Answer: It is amazing, stupendous, great and well worth your time and money.

If you didn’t know yet, Robert Jordan, the original writer of the Wheel of Time passed away years ago. However, before he died he left extensive writings which include the last scene of the series. In other words, we are told that RJ wrote the ending of AMoL. Many parts of the book are by RJ but other parts are by Brandon Sanderson who was hired to flesh it all out, using notes and other materials left by RJ. He was assisted in this task by the late writer’s wife, Harriet.

Knowing that the ending is exactly as RJ wanted, can you doubt how epic and grand it is? You won’t be disappointed.

A Memory of Light (Wheel of Time)

Wheel of Time Ending: AMoL Synopsis

What happens in AMoL?

  • the epic final battle we have all been waiting for: Rand in Shayol Ghul
  • obviously, the confrontation with the Dark One, as fans were expecting
  • all of the prophecies fulfilled

Fans should be reminded of the prophecy from the Karaethon Cycle:

“Twice dawns the day when his blood is shed.
Once for mourning, once for birth.
Red on black, the Dragon’s blood stains the rock of Shayol Ghul.
In the Pit of Doom shall his blood free men from the Shadow.”

The Prophecies of the Shadow, on the other hand, look at it from the viewpoint of the Dark One and his followers:

“And the Lord of the Evening shall face the Broken Champion, and shall spill his blood and bring us the Darkness so beautiful. Let the screams begin, O followers of the Shadow. Beg for your destruction! ”
